In furtherance of its mission, WLA, upon approval by the Board, may endorse candidates for leadership and judicial positions at such times and for such positions as it deems appropriate.  WLA welcomes and encourages your requests.

Process

Candidates requesting WLA’s endorsement must complete this application and submit it along with a curriculum vitae or resumé to the President or another member of the WLA Board. Applications may be sent by personal delivery, mail, fax, or e-mail. Applicants should call the recipient to confirm receipt. If the Board receives one or more requests for endorsement, it generally schedules a special board meeting to discuss and vote on each candidate. It is highly recommended that the candidate be available to interview with the Board before it votes, if time permits. The Board will consider the nominee‚s responses to this application and the interview as factors in determining whether to endorse such nominee. The weight given any particular factor of the nominee’s application and/or interview rests with the discretion of each voting Board member. If the Board votes to endorse one or more nominee(s), then it will send a letter to the deciding person(s) or entity(ies) in support of such nominee(s).
